About Us

“In Jesus day, Christ went to the sinners, the broken hearted and touched peoples lives. The first century Christians continued to do as Christ commanded them and the Holy Spirit moved tremendously. During the course of History as men and women of God took up the passion to observe all things I have commanded you, God moved in awesome ways. The Bible says:”

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

                                    Mathew 28:19-20

“A young boy felt a calling to preach to people living in shacks. As he picked up this calling, God blessed his efforts. He reached out and comforted the homeless, touched the poor, prayed for the sick and comforted the brokenhearted. We are still feeling the impact of Dwight Moody's ministry today.

“Another young man decided to take God at his word, pressing in to follow Jesus commandments. More comfortable behind the four walls of the Church. God's spirit led this man to speak to crowds in fields.  In a very short time, he began to speak to crowds that would double in size overnight. A courageous man who wasn't afraid to step out and meet people where they were just as Jesus did. Again, the impact of John Wesley one of the founders of the Methodist denomination is still felt today.

“At The Salvage Yard, we too carry this burden.  It is our desire to sit at our saviors feet and at times rediscover what Jesus words meant putting them to work in our lives. Our purpose is to take God at his word, and to encourage others to take God at his word so that collectively we can reach today's generation in new and unique ways.”

“Our heart is to lift Jesus higher, to take Jesus to the highways and the biways, to reach the broken hearted and to see GOD Change lives.

“We are called The Salvage Yard because we never minded getting, having and being a part of others peoples junk. As Jesus confounded church leaders when he would seek out and fellowship with society's sinners and brokenhearted. So we have committed to opening  our hearts, our hands, and our homes to be a safe, hidden place for many.

“Our vision is that this 'priceless junk' will be transformed by the Blood, by the Death and by the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The central meaning of the word catalyst is 'something that stimulates a reaction or acts as an agent of change.' Igniting a catalytic effect for positive change is what we strive for at The Salvage Yard.  Are hope and prayer is that God can use us to ignite a change in the body of Christ spurring the body of Christ to a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father.

“We not only welcome your help but we need your help. Jesus prayed That We May be One. It is our prayer and expectant hope that you will join us as we embark on seeking the Lord in ways that God wants to be found.
