The Ultimate Chat Room

Talking with the Lord is the ULTIMATE CHAT ROOM. You know Jesus said ask and it will be given you. But you know Jesus also said:

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
              John 10:27 (KJV)

That's right, Jesus never intended prayer to be one sided. HELLO, God wants to talk to you! Have you ever had a close friend with whom you have a one sided conversation?  The Salvage Yard Chat room is not only about chatting with other Christians but chatting with the Lord too.

God wants to become your friend too. He desires to talk with you, to walk with you. Do you sometimes wonder what would happen if we took the time to spend more time interacting with the Lord in prayer?

News Flash: Moses did not learn how to use a staff to free a nation by himself. He sought God's help.  He was not afraid to go before the Lord, to go up to God's holy mountain and talk to him.  God confronted Paul on the road to Damascus.  Paul, Noah, Peter, Thomas, David, Enoch, John all developed an expectation that God would speak to them.  Have I, have you, should we?

In their day God met them in a personal way. After all they say that God wrote the Holy scriptures, but he also had to have someone who was willing to listen, to write down what the Lord was saying.

This not only happened during biblical times, but it also happened during the course of history.  Who do you think spoke to Martin Luther to write the 95 thesis that he posted on the Church door?  Who do you think spoke to John Wesley about the need for righteousness? Who do you think spoke to William J. Seymour about the need for personal holiness and the ministry of the Holy Spirit? And there are thousands of other examples that could be used.

God still desires an opportunity to talk to us today. After all Jesus did say:

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27 (KJV).

When you talk to God are you giving God an opportunity to speak to you? Are you listening for a response?  If you desire a deep relationship with the Lord, it can not be one-way.  If you desires God's help, ask him, but also seek a quiet corner or place where you can let the world go by and simply close your eyes, and be quiet as you wait for the Lord to talk to you.

Jesus has said that his sheep will hear his voice.  Are you one of his sheep? This corner of The Salvage Yard is dedicated to those who desire to hear from God, and also to those simply trying to learn to hear God's voice.

In the world's view a chat room is instantaneous.  In God's world the Ultimate Chat Room requires times of contemplation. Here at The Salvage Yard when we decided to take God at his work and began to expect to hear from God things really began to change.

Chopper, Allie, Simon, and Cage value your views, insights into what God is saying to you, and your prayer requests.  When you post an item on the Ultimate Chat Room, come expecting God to respond too.  He may respond directly as you ponder what God would have you do.  He might respond through others as they either encourage you to listen, or provide you with insights that God has shared with them as they sat quietly before the Lord.  It is important to be patient and allow God to respond as well.  He will ya know, cause he promised he would!!
