God Happenings
You
know, Jesus really Rocks! God has been so good to me. As I sought God, I
really did find him. A little while ago I was kinda upset because I had
been bouncing from job to job, and broke up with my boy friend. I was really
taking it hard. I was so upset about my problems, yet as I sought God, it
was as if everywhere I turned, God was talking to me. First it was a word
hear or there, then I noticed God was talking to me as I listened to Christian
music. It just seemed that God would begin to speak to me.
I know
that sounds strange, but when I hung out with the gang a The Salvage Yard
helping Pastor Rick, it just seemed as if God was talking to me through Pastor
Rick. I found myself expecting God to speak to me when I went to The
Salvage Yard. Wierd huh. They would not know what was going on in my
life, yet it was as if they were parting the feathers on my forehead and writing
a message just for me.
I am not
as devoted as I should be. You know, I don't like read the Bible as much as I
should or read from a devotional everyday. But I do read the devotionals
when I go to M&H Bakery. At first I thought it was a coincidence. I would
pick up a devotional and start to read the words for today, and God would talk
to me right there! I wasn't even in Church.
Now that I
think about it, I guess I noticed it when I started taking God seriously. You
know now I don't even think of it as a coincidence, I actually have come to
expect God to speak into my life. Why just the other day, at The Salvage
Yard, they were talking about patience, and how it is such a difficult lesson to
learn. Pastor Rick told us that as God is trying to develop us, he will
put us in difficult situations to help us develop patience.
Not
an hour later when I went to Mom's she got all over me about my room. I
started to get upset, and Pastor Rick's words came back to me. I realized
God was helping me to discover how to be patient by using my family. Boy was it
tough. I used to blow up at Mom, I still do but I am working on trying not to
react.
You know,
somehow knowing that others are struggling too, and being able to talk about
what God is doing in our lives, is an encouragement. We at The Salvage Yard have
made a commitment to one another first to be real, to share both the bad and
good of what God is doing in our lives. But most of all we have committed
to sharing what God is doing! As Chopper says, as we share both are
successes and all are warts, God is able to use us to encourage and help
others."
In
the near future, as you enter into a quest to seek God, we would encourage you
to share what God is doing in your life.
Oh
and by the way, I know you have heard that I have a big mouth and can not shut
up. But I promise not to tell anyone.

Yeah right, we'll see.
Oh
hi Deke, I did not see you.
I
came in about five minutes ago, you know I swear she never stops even to take a
breath.
Hmm. Like I
was telling you, even now God's trying to teach me to have patience with Deke.
Hey Deke do you want to tell us what's going on in your life?
Not this time.
Well anyway, like I was saying, please share with us what God is doing in your
life.
